Myth-Busted1 Oct 2026AI for small business

We’re done with the AI hype too.

Every week there’s a new headline. AI will replace your team. AI will run your business. AI will end the world by Friday. If you run a small business, it’s exhausting, and it doesn’t help you with the pile on your desk.

So here’s a reality check from a business that uses it every working day. We sorted the claims into two piles: hype and real.

The hype

  • “It’s taking over the world.” It can’t even make coffee. It can’t fix a leaking tap either. Anything that needs hands is still yours.
  • “It’ll replace your team.” It can’t read the room, calm an upset customer, or shake a hand. People buy from people.

What’s real

  • It answers the same ten questions at 2 am. Opening hours, prices, “do you have stock?”. The questions you answer all day get answered while you sleep.
  • It types up the notes and chases the follow-ups. The call you meant to return and the quote you meant to send stop slipping.
  • It remembers. Every reminder, every client birthday, every renewal date, without a sticky note.

Job that stays yours

What stays yours

Knowing your customers, making the judgement call, and caring about the outcome. No tool does that for you, and you wouldn’t want it to.

The verdict

Not doomsday. Not magic. A very good assistant for the boring stuff, which is exactly the stuff that eats a small business owner’s evenings.

No hype. Just what works.

We test it first, then build it into your business. The call is always free.
