Is AI quoting your business?

Search has changed under everyone’s feet. More than half of Google searches now end without a single click (SparkToro’s 2024 study put it at about 58%). People ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google’s own AI answer, read the reply, and never open a website.

So the old question, “do we rank on Google?”, now has a second one next to it: when someone asks AI who to call, does it say our name?

What AI looks for

  • Prices. People ask AI what things cost. If your site only says “contact us for a quote”, AI has nothing to repeat.
  • Real answers. Answers to the questions your customers actually ask, not a generic “7 tips” post.
  • Easy booking. A clear way to book or get in touch, one tap away.
  • One tidy set of facts. Services, areas, prices, contact details, written the same way everywhere.

Miss these and the AI can’t quote you. It quotes someone else.

What we changed on our own site first

Before offering it to anyone, we did it to derekreed.co. All of it is live today:

  • A straight-answers page. derekreed.co/faq: what we do, what it costs, how long it takes, how to reach us.
  • Business details in a format AI reads. Structured data on the site that spells out who we are, where we are, our services and our prices.
  • A plain summary for AI tools. A short file (llms.txt) that sums up the business in plain words.
  • AI search engines let in. The site openly allows the AI search tools to read and cite it.

For a client we add the rest: price ranges for your services, an FAQ built from your real customer questions, and your Google Business Profile tidied up so every listing tells the same story.

Make sure AI says your name.

We’ll look at your website and tell you what AI can and can’t read about you. The call is always free: 082 800 1008 (WhatsApp too).

⚠ Nobody can promise a particular AI will recommend you. What we can do is give it clear, true facts to work with, which is what it needs to do so.
